About me

I'm passionate about using data, design, and engineering to solve problems and tell stories that matter. I am currently a data visuals editor at the Council on Foreign Relations, where I work with researchers and editors to create compelling data-driven stories. I have an M.S. in Computational Analysis & Public Policy, a joint program by the Harris School of Public Policy and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago. Previously, I worked as a research engineer with the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation on topics related to public transportation, property ownership networks, public finance, and property taxes. I was also a data editor at the Chicago Maroon.

Before that I ran youth programming at Changeist and worked on the analytics team at the DNC. Find me on Linkedin or reach out via email at asteinhart3 at gmail.com
